put on the snow shoes and take a hike on the trails.
This is a different type of experience only a few people
will attempt in the Adirondacks.
X-Country Skiing in this area is like taking a walk
on the clean snow of the mountains. Have you ever tried
back country skiing? What fun it is, putting on the
skis and breaking a fresh trail in the woods. For those
who would wish a flatter course, there is always the
lake or golf course. Rental of Cross Country skis and
snowshoes is available.

year when the ice covers the lake, a whole new village
develops on the lake. Ice shanties of all different
styles and colors will combine to make a whole new community.
Enjoy a day on the ice in one of the rentable shanties
with a good friend and create lots of stories of the
fish that got away. If you think you are a good ice
fisherman, come test your skills on the first weekend
of March. The Schroon Lake Fish and Game hosts an Ice
